Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about FieldLoom.

Clear, transparent answers regarding our technological architecture, AI clinical boundaries, and deployment options.

What is FieldLoom Agritech?

FieldLoom Agritech is an agricultural software enterprise based in Nairobi, Kenya. We engineer connected AI applications and offline-first infrastructure that turn complex field telemetry into decisive operational guidance.

What products comprise the FieldLoom ecosystem?

Our live ecosystem features three specialized platforms: AgroIntelix for multimodal crop diagnostics, foliar disease scanning, and weather planning; VetLink AI for livestock symptom triage and veterinary escalation; and FieldLoom Notebook for 100% offline-first PWA record-keeping, Gemini OCR receipt parsing, deterministic inventory, and crop-level P&L analytics.

How does the offline-first architecture work in remote fields?

FieldLoom Notebook is engineered as an Apple HIG-compliant Progressive Web Application (PWA). It stores ledgers, receipt scans, and farm activities directly on-device using IndexedDB and ServiceWorker caching. Farmers can record transactions with zero internet connection; when connectivity is restored, records reconcile deterministically.

Does VetLink AI replace a licensed veterinarian?

No. VetLink AI is strictly an educational clinical triage and symptom evaluation tool designed to assess urgency. It does not perform formal medical diagnoses or prescribe medications. In all cases involving severe symptoms or emergencies, users are directed to contact certified local veterinary practitioners.

Who can integrate and utilize FieldLoom products?

Our platforms serve individual smallholders, commercial estates, dairy farm networks, agricultural cooperatives, SACCOs, and digital extension programs seeking structured operational data.
